Royal Tunbridge Wells Fencing Club offers a full range of beginner, intermediate and advanced epee fencing classes on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. See below for our beginner, intermediate and advanced fencing class timetable for summer term 2024, along with the fees for these classes. Summer 2024

MONDAYS
Dates: 8th to 29th April; 13th & 20th May; 3rd June to 15th July = 13 classes (closed on 6th May for Bank Holiday and 27th May for half-term)
Timetable:
630-730pm Under 10s – Beginner / Intermediate; Under 14s – Beginner / Intermediate
730-930pm 14 & over – Intermediate / Advanced
THURSDAYS
Dates: 11th April to 23rd May; 6th June to 8th July = 13 classes (closed on 30th May for half-term)
Timetable:
630-730pm Under 11s & Under 14s – Intermediate / Advanced
7-8pm Teen & Adult – Beginner
8-9pm Teen & Adult (2nd term) – Intermediate
8-10pm 14 & over – Intermediate / Advanced
SUNDAYS
Dates: 14th April to 19th May; 9th June to 14th July = 12 classes (closed on 26th May & 2nd June for half-term)
Timetable:
930-1030am Under 11s – Beginner / Intermediate
1030-12pm Under 11s, 14s & 17s – Intermediate / Advanced
12-1pm Individual lessons

Fees
Monday and Thursday classes cost £10 each. For example, a 13-week term of Mondays costs £130 without individual lessons and £260 with individual lessons.
Sunday classes cost as follows: 930-1030am – £10 each; 1030am-12 – £12 each. There are 12 Sundays in the summer term 2024, so the 930-1030am class costs £120 for the term and the 1030am-12pm class costs £144 without individual lessons and £264 with them.
Individual lessons: £10 each (typically 10-15 minutes in duration) – these can be booked for a term or on an occasional basis with your coach. Please note that those training exclusively at RTWFC & competing for RTWFC have priority for individual lessons.
Payment: Termly fees are paid up front, but if you’re booking more than one class per week you can pay per half-term.

Kit rental
Fencers who’ve been coming to the club on Mondays and/or Thursdays for more than two terms have to rent any fencing clothing they require from us. The exception is Sunday – fencers coming to any of our classes on this day who have not yet rented kit do not need to do so; those who have already rented kit can continue to do so if they wish or revert to borrowing on the day. Please note that RTWFC kit should not be used at another club and should only be used at competitions when representing RTWFC.

Per term, the charges are: Mask £10; Glove, Jacket, Plastron (unless intergrated in jacket) & Breeches (14 & over only) £5 each.
